The penis is composed of a variety of specialized tissues and is NOT a muscle, like many people think. It more closely resembles a sponge that fills will blood when the person is aroused. The tissues of the two cavernosa that make up the sides and bottom of the penis can't be replaced if someone makes a mistake by not having the experience to surgically enlarge the penis. This is very important during the thickening stage. The bottom line is that it's critical to have the expertise—gained from performing thousands of Phalloplasties.
