NASAL
SURGERY: (rhinoplasty)
WHAT IT DOES: Reduces the size and reshapes
the nose. May help with breathing.
BEST CANDIDATES: Almost anyone with a

RECOVERY: Nasal splint for 4 days. Swelling
and bruising subsides in 8 to 10 days. Slight swelling may last months.

WHAT IT DOES: Makes prominent ears lay
flatter against the head giving a more normal look.
BEST CANDIDATES: Children and adults
with prominent protruding ears.
LENGTH: 1 hour
RECOVERY: Must wear a headband for 1
to 2 weeks after surgery. Limit contact sports for 6 weeks.
BACK TO WORK: 3 to 5 days
CHIN
IMPLANTS: (chin augmentation)
WHAT IT DOES: Helps to balance face
in those patients with an underdeveloped chin.
BEST CANDIDATES: Men with a small or
underdeveloped chin.
LENGTH: 1/2 hour
RECOVERY: Tape over jawbone for 3 to
7 days. Swelling and tightness usually resolves in 2 to 3 weeks.
