Lip Implants
(Lip Augmentation)
LIP IMPLANT PROCEDURE:
Fat is transferred from another part of the patient's body (usually
the abdomen or buttocks) and after special preparation, injected into
the lip area to create fuller lips. Lip Implant

BEST CANDIDATES: Healthy women or men
with realistic expectations who desire to have fuller lips.
RECOVERY: After 2-5 days, the swelling
is gone and the lips have a natural fullness.
BACK TO WORK: 1 day. A second procedure
may be done after three months if needed.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER HAVING
LIP IMPLANTS?
Patients are up and around immediately following
fat injections. Any discomfort following the procedure can be controlled
with medication. Some swelling at the treatment site may last up to
2-5 days. There may be some bruising, which can be covered with makeup.
Your initial injection should last from four to six months. Over the
first few months some of the fat may be absorbed by your body. The
remainder will usually stay in place for years. For results that will
last years, patients usually receive two treatments over a six month
period.
HOW LONG DO LIP IMPLANTS LAST?
Fat transferred to the face can last as long as
several years or even be permanent.
